Nu-Freakz is Belgium 's first Nu-Skool Breakbeat label and their debut offering is an energetic piece from Spanish outfit Amnexiac. The original is a big schizophrenic bassline affair, with a high octane vocal wailing “Ecstasy” throughout, reminding us that somewhere in the world people are still having it in their thousands, just like they used to in London, before it got all “been there, done that, lets be boring and do loads of coke and rapidly disappear up our own arseholes.” Sorry, off the beaten track there. Transformer Man turns in a sterling remix, adding some tight, rolling conga-tastic riddims and a few choice melancholic chords that act as a great contrast to the frantic vibe of the piece. Keep an eye out for this one, the dancefloor will be most appreciative. 4/5 Stars
